Suction Help Empty
PostSubject: Suction Help   Suction Help EmptyWed Nov 09, 2011 9:42 pm

Hey all,

I can't find a really good fitting place for general fish tank equipment discussion on this forum so I'm putting this here.

I have a basic gravel vacuum that was working well enough when I had a gravel substrate in my tank. Now though I have a sand substrate in my tank (much better looking but thus far a pain in the ass) and I find that the gravel vacuum just doesn't have the suction I need to grab, let's say stuff, off the bottom of the tank. I've been using a net to just scoop it up, but that's getting tedious and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with anything else that might work better. I was thinking of ditching the gravity fed system for something like this.

Anyone have any ideas?

So, for anyone wondering, I took the funnel part off of my gravel vacuum and it works much better now.
